“Missing you already! Can’t wait to see you!”
Our family had spent ten days vacationing together in Singapore and the Philippines. My son and I were now returning home to Southern California while my wife and daughter remained in the Philippines, spending an additional week reconnecting with my wife’s family.
This last text message to my wife expressed my longing to see her in person. Anyone who is in a loving relationship with another always longs to be in their physical presence. Text messages and phone calls are a poor substitute for actually seeing the other person. God is no different; there is no more intimate relationship than the one we have with Him.
Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”
Exodus 33:18 (ESV)
And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them.
Mark 9:2-3 (ESV)
Moses desired to see it.
Peter, James, and John were granted a glimpse.
Anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior should desire to see more of His Glory and long to be in His physical presence. Someday, in Heaven, my desire will be fulfilled.
Can’t wait to see You!
Love and trust the Lord; seek His will in your life.
