The Bereans-Podcasts

Welcome to The Bereans Podcast.

These reflections grew out of the writings of The Bereans and are shared in the hope of encouraging thoughtful conversations about faith, medicine, music, and life.

After more than three decades as a physician, I have come to appreciate that some of life’s deepest lessons are learned not through success, but through disappointment, waiting, suffering, and the quiet grace of God. As a husband, father, musician, teacher, and follower of Christ, I have found that many of the questions we carry are shared by others as well.

Each episode combines personal stories, biblical reflections, and original music composed and performed by me. Some begin with experiences from medicine, others from family life, retirement, or everyday moments that invite us to pause and consider what God may be teaching us.

In addition to these personal reflections, some episodes take the form of imagined interviews with men and women from the Bible. These conversations are written as thoughtful, Scripture-centered dialogues that explore what they experienced, what they witnessed, and what their lives continue to teach us today. Each interview is carefully grounded in the biblical text, distinguishing between what Scripture explicitly records and reasonable inferences, and is accompanied here by a complete written transcript with a link to the corresponding YouTube podcast episode.

My hope is not to provide all the answers, but to encourage you to ask the right questions and to discover the faithfulness of God in the midst of ordinary life.

Thank you for listening.

Love and trust the Lord; seek His will in your life.
