There were 10 rows of vendors in the convention center meeting hall. Some of the vendors with a larger footprint had several people gathered in front of their displays, however, it was obvious which vendor was attracting the largest crowd. It was a coffee company, offering the conference attendees a free lesson on how to make intricate designs on the top of their espresso, using steamed milk. I hovered near their booth for a few minutes, eager to absorb some of their tips. It was easy to see why they were very popular! Yet, this was not a conference for food vendors or restaurants. This was a dental convention and all of the participants and vendors were dentists and their suppliers. The coffee company was clever to market themselves to a group of dentists, knowing their product could be served in the waiting rooms of their offices and they found a way to attract these same dentists to their booths. Inspired planning!
While the type of coffee in the waiting room is probably not the primary reason why a patient may select their dentist, it may be an important component that enhances the overall experience. What about our spiritual lives? When I read the Bible, it very clearly explains God’s plan of salvation through faith and belief in Jesus Christ. This is the most important reason to read the Bible. But the Bible is so much more. It is a guide for relationships. It teaches me how to approach my job and interact with my co-workers. It provides practical advice for money management. It even helps me to organize my free time.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)
Whenever I encounter a situation in life, the Bible always describes a similar situation with a godly solution! I read the Bible to know my Lord and Savior but God has much more glorious plans for His Holy Word.
Inspired planning! Why not? The God of Creation made it so!
Amen!
Love and trust in the Lord; seek His will in your life.
