“When will I have the results?”
“No problem,” I replied. “We should have the additional test results back in three days.”
As I hung up the phone, one of my staff overheard my conversation with the referring physician. “Doctor, don’t we usually get the results back in two days?”
I nodded. “Yes, we do, but we have to give ourselves some wiggle room. Things can always go wrong. Our reference laboratory may have problems with the test and have to repeat it, delaying the final results for another day. If there are no problems, we will get the results in two days, one day before I promised. I am giving us some flexibility.” I looked at my staff member and smiled. “Underpromise and overdeliver.”
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV)
The grandeur and splendor of God’s grace and mercy are far beyond anything we can ever comprehend. He has given us more than a glimpse of what He offers and what it will be like in Heaven through faith and belief in His Son, Jesus Christ. God delights in lavishing all believers with unimaginable joy and happiness, but we must trust and allow Him to work His power in our lives. If we do not see God working in our lives, it is not because of any weakness of God, it is our sinful reluctance to trust and obey Him.
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
Romans 11:33 (ESV)
God never under promises but He always over delivers!
Praise God!
Love and trust the Lord; seek His will in your life.
